The Richard G Lugar Excellence In Public Service Series

The Lugar Series shines as a beacon of hope and inspiration for the education and training of young women to serve in a variety of public service capacities."

The program year comprises eight monthly day-long sessions starting in October. In May, the series culminates with a four-day summit in Washington, D.C. The intensive training curriculum addresses, but is not limited to, the following topics:

History of the Republican Party
Formation of Public Policy and Ethics in Government
The Constitution as the Basis for Government
Understanding Local, State and Federal Government
Running a Successful Campaign
Fundraising
Public Speaking Training
The Role of Media in Politics
National Security and the Military

Participants learn from experts and hands-on activities and have the opportunity to network with key Republican leaders at the local, state and national levels.
